Business & Media:
Business continued working on the impact essay and executive summary. They also began work on planning the Impact Presentation Script and the Impact Award video. In addition, our media team made an Instagram cover and planned for the SWE collaboration. It was a great week overall!
Mech:
Our mech team is almost done building field components for testing. While we have only built one prototype in previous years, we are making two this year: an elevator system and an arm. Both prototypes will use two different chassis sizes due to the high risk of tipping during a match, another change from previous years when we stuck to a 30” x 30” chassis. We have also started prototyping two versions of an end-effector that can pick up both coral and algae. There will be lots of doubling up this season!
Programming:

This week during programming, we refined and tested our Vision code (which works great!!) and are working on integrating the data. Not only that, but we rewired our robot from last season, and are currently looking to improve swerve beyond greasing. On our integration from Jetson Nano, we were able to write a startup service in order for Jetson Nano to run April Tag detection on boot and also write subsystem utilities to convert data from flat arrays to WPILib classes, output data to NetworkTables/SmartDashboard. We are now prepared to test the integration of new data and Swerve subsystems and run AlignToTarget scripts.
